Thursday, 5-9 p.m.
Friday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. 
Saturday, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
Sunday, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.

Dinner Thursday, lunch Friday-Sunday, and refreshments throughout the weekend will be provided. We plan to offer Eucharistic adoration during the first session on Thursday and Mass at 9:30 on Sunday morning.

These texts will be provided and are included in the tuition. If you already have them, contact us about a tuition discount.
  • To explore the religious nature and the most vital religious needs of the 3-6 year-old child
  • To present the methodology and guiding principles of the Catechesis of the Good Shepherd
  • To offer guidelines and assistance in preparing the atrium environment, the catechist’s album and catechetical material
  • To meditate on the scriptural and liturgical themes presented to the 3 to 6 year-old child

Formation Leaders

Megan Wallenfang is a fully professed Secular Discalced Carmelite and a CGS Formation Leader. She studied and worked in the field of music therapy and is a trained classical pianist. Her atrium experience has been diverse having established and served in both rural and urban environments throughout Illinois, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin. Megan and her husband Donny live and serve with their 6 children in the Archdiocese of Detroit and are co-authors of Shoeless: Carmelite Spirituality in a Disquieted World (Wipf & Stock, 2021).

Kelly Sullivan is a trained Catechist in all 3 levels and has been in the work for over 14 years.  She lives in Chicago with her husband and 8 children. She is the founder of The Sanctuary Academy, a new model of Catholic Education which incorporates CGS and classical pedagogy.

Elizabeth Blanke (assistant) has been blessed by the incredible richness and depth of CGS in her life and the lives of her children since her oldest daughter was 3. She is a trained Level 1 and 2 Catechist, and is currently pursuing her Level 3 formation.

​Tuition is 
$560 for CGS members and $610 for non-CGS members. A deposit of $100 is due by June 1, 2022 to complete your registration. Full balance is due by July 13, 2022.
