Saint Ita: A French Gothic Masterpiece

Saint Ita Catholic Church, 5500 N Broadway
Sunday, November 17, 2:00-3:30 p.m.
Join artist-in-residence Sarah Crow for an in-depth tour of the art and architecture of Saint Ita Church, a French gothic masterpiece in the heart of Edgewater.
The masterful architect, Henry J. Schlacks, who built 12 of Chicago's magnificent churches, culminated his work at St Ita in 1927. The 120-foot exterior tower built from 1,800 tons of Bedford limestone, the 200,000 individual pieces of stained glass, and the 4,200 pipes of the organ are just some of the details we will explore.

*You can pay online or bring a check or cash to the class. Make checks payable to Mary, Mother of God Parish with "St. Gregory's Hall" in the memo line. All donations are used to cover program and staff-related expenses of St. Gregory's Hall. No funds are used for general Parish operating expenses.
