Christ the Bridegroom Lenten Retreat

Mary, Mother of God Parish Lenten Retreat
Saturday, March 9, 2024
Our 2024 Lenten retreat featured a spiritual conference with Byzantine Catholic priest Fr. Thomas Loya, who offered a rich presentation on the theology and spirituality of icons, sacred art, and architecture.

After the conference, a dozen participants stayed on to create their own icon of Christ the Bridegroom led by artist-in-residence Sarah Crow, entering deeper into the mystery of Christ's passion.

Listen to Fr. Loya's talk on iconography and view photos from the retreat below. You can find out more about Fr. Loya's church, Annunciation Byzantine, here.
