Join our composer-in-residence Kevin Allen for an series on the Church's liturgical tradition and the role of music in our worship. Come learn the what and the why of our sacred rite that has been developed and refined by the Church over the course of two millennia.

Talks will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Sundays in the St. Gregory Gym Building (1609 W. Gregory St.) following the 9:30 a.m. Mass. Refreshments will be provided.

About Kevin Allen

Picture
Kevin Allen is a well-known composer. His works, sacred and secular, have been performed in churches and concert halls throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia. Based in Chicago, he is the founding director of the Collins Consort, American Composer’s Project, and Schola Immaculata. Mr. Allen is also the director of Schola Laudis at the Benedictine Monastery of the Holy Cross.
