Solidarity Gardens

Solidarity Gardens is a network of garden plots throughout Uptown and Edgewater that provide food for the St. Thomas of Canterbury Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry and our neighbors in need. It is a collaborative project of the Churches of Mary, Mother of God Catholic Parish, St. Francis House Catholic Worker, and our neighbors.

News and EventsWe're blessed to be collaborating with Loyola University's Urban Agriculture Program to provide produce to the St. Thomas of Canterbury soup kitchen and food pantry.
Under the guidance of director Kevin Erickson, students Jace and Katherine are assisting with various Solidarity Gardens projects including planting, building irrigation and other infrastructure, and delivering produce grown at Loyola's gardens to the food pantry. |
