CONVIVIUM MARIANUMSunday, December 17, 7:00 p.m.
St. Gregory the Great, 5545 N Paulina St Bishop Mark Bartosic, presider Join us on Gaudete Sunday for a unique celebration honoring the Mother of God: "Convivium Marianum: A Prayerful Contemplation on the Life of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Scripture & Song." Readings, prayer, and beautiful sacred music will guide us in profound reflection on Mary's life and role in salvation history. This is a great way to celebrate the Marian feasts of the Immaculate Conception and Our Lady of Guadalupe and to prepare for the coming of Christ. Works by Gustav Holst, Hans Leo Hassler, Johann Eccard, and Kevin Allen. Music provided by St. Gregory's Schola, the Chicago Catholic Choir, and Vox Fidelis Children's Choir under the direction of Kevin Allen (composer-in-residence). $15 suggested donation. You can pay ONLINE HERE or at the door. Contact Mark Franzen with any questions. You can read about last year's Convivium Marianum HERE. |
